Red Time Saving Adapter With Thread (Pack of 4)

Designed for use with metal back boxes, this adapter makes faceplate installation faster, easier and safer for electricians and DIYers, and repairs damaged threads.

A funnel-shaped mouth guides the screw smoothly into the box’s threaded lug, even in tight or hard-to-reach spaces. It also protects the cables inside the back box from being pierced or damaged by the screw, removing the risk of short circuits or earth faults.

On top of this, the red adapter replaces damaged threads. Standard back box threads are only around 1mm deep, so they’re fragile and easily stripped during faceplate installation or removal. The red adapter fits a new, built-in 5mm deep thread, far stronger than the original. To fit, simply drill out the damaged thread with a 4mm drill bit, then insert the adapter.

Each pack contains 4 adapters: 2 for fixed lugs and 2 for adjustable lugs, giving damaged back boxes a new lease of life instead of writing them off entirely.
